ABS Light
1988 420SEL ABS light comes on within 5 minutes from initial startup, and ABS doesn't function.
I seached old threads and found info suggesting to clean the sensors and check for a tired fuse. I removed all four wheels and sprayed brake cleaner everywhere, no luck. I checked the fuse box, but I don't see a fuse labeled ABS, unless its somewhere else, or I'm missing something? This has been going on for about a week or two, so I think if it were the alternator not generating enough power for the ABS to work, then the light would probably come on right away. Additionaly, I have no other electrical problems and the battery charges fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |
Check the 10amp blade type fuse in the OVP.
