Stuck Shift Knob on W140
 

It seems that my 93 500SEL is stuck. I am trying to remove it so i can put on a wood shiftknob. This is what I'm doing>>> The car is in park (engine off), I push in and turn counterclock wise while pulling up and it won't even bulge when i try to turn in counter clock wise, any idea on what else I can do. I try WD40 nothing seems to work.
