Anyone in Houston have a W124 spring compressor?
 

(MODS: I posted this in Diesel Discussion as well because I know some folks only read one or the other subforum)
Anyone in the Houston area have a spring compressor I could borrow? My front left ball joint is dodgy and mine's a 95, so I have to replace the whole LCA.

If its the diesel in your signature - you dont need to replace the arm, the joint is oldschool and comes out like older models. If its the E320 then yes you need the whole arm.

Unfortunately it's for the E320, although my E300 has the new-style control arms as well--no way to know if they're original, though.

anyway - the E300D never came with the e320 style arms unless it had larger discs/hubs like the E320 and E420 had - I dont think MB ever did that to the E300D.
