Which gear oil for W202 differential?
It seems MB is saying just about every car made in the past 15 years or more needs differential oil meeting MB 235.7
On the other hand, my owners manual just says it has to be "85W-90 Hypoid Gear Oil." So I am thinking that Mobil-1 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil would be OK, but it technically is not MB 235.7. Dealer wants $38 for the MB stuff (per liter) and the Mobil-1 is $11.

I'm guessing the Mobil will be fine. I plan on doing my differential too. Just gotta see how.
