How to adjust the EHA and the fuel mixture merceds 300Te 1993
 
Hi I had a bad idle on my 300Te 4matic the rpm is low 500rpm when the engine is cold and it run very rough,I want to ADUST the electro hydro actuated and the fuel mixture.I test the IAC valve it had 0 voltage on the electric plug and its doesn't work,please I want some ideas and info thanks advance for any help

Thank you my friend great info,what is the principle operation IAC valve I test the plug no voltage at all does the idle air valve cwires connected to the ECU or to the OVp relay,thanks advance for help and info

I'm not familiar with the idle air valve on your specific vehicle, but on my older Mercedes, I leave the connector connected but pulled out a little, then can read the voltage. Some electrical things don't work unless they are connected (have a "load" on them).

Then Idle control valves in general allow the engine computer to make the engine run faster or slower. It may make the engine run faster to help warm up a cold engine, power the air conditioning when turned on, provide extra electricity if there is a large electrical load like headlights on, hot engine, etc.

And you would not want the engine idle to be high if the vehicle was in gear! (Should deactivate if in gear or foot on the accelerator.)
