1998 C43 my new project

Just picked up a 1998 c43 with 146k on it to replace my 1992 400E!!! Always loved these cars, so had a chance to get it for what I thought was a good price so I made the move. It's a little rough, but seems like nothing I can't handle. It has a few small rust spots, seems like the drive shaft support bearing is bad, valve covers seeping oil, and the SRS light comes on 30sec after starting the car. Clean carfax, everything works interior Is in great shape, other than drivers seat bottom center section has some cracking. The SRS light is the only thing that is a little concerning to me! Any one have any tips of what else I should look for when I start going through the car.

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Yes. Pull it apart everywhere. Fender liners, weatherstrips on the door (water gets caught and rots it away), spring perches all for rust. You would be surprised. Regarding the SRS sensor, plug in an OBD2 scanner and see if codes are stored in the system.

SRS codes don't come up in OBDII. It could be the passenger's side seat sensor.

That's the car in the previous picture? Nice looking C43!
Enjoy the ride, these things are like pocket-rockets so drive it like you stole it! Nothing can take a corner like a C43.
