M119 Oil Ps And Temp
 

Just picked up my 99 S420 from the dealer for checkup on overheating and low oil ps. They chnged the oil pressure sensor, oil pump and oil change. The oil pressure flies to 3 immediately but it still drops to two. My oil was definitely the problem because I change oil at 1,500 intervals because I put about 2700 miles a year since I bought it. I had the coolant changed 2 weeks ago and now the car is overheating to 100 C (does not stay at 80 anymore) so I told the advisor to fix it. They tested the car for forty miles and performed a roartest twice and they say it is constant at 84C.

97 e320 37000mi
89 300e mileage unknown (got stuck at 93k)

100C is not overheating, it is perfectly normal in traffic.

It doesnt see traffic, at night ona highway no stop and go at 50Fahrenheit

Did they replace any cooling sytem parts when you told the to fix it? If the gauge is properly calibrated it should run a little under 90C on the highway.

No they didnt change any cooling system parts just oil pump, sensor and they did an oil change. Before I changed the coolant car was at 80 all the time never above, after I changed the coolant it goes way up there to 98. Is it good for the water to be hot? It seems not so but I am thinking that once they changed the coolant before the car was under the snow of canada and now it is in So Cal so they adjusted the water %

You might have air trapped in the system and need to burp it, or possibly you have too much coolant and not enough water. Should have about a 50/50 mix of coolant to water, or for So. Cal, might want 45% coolant to 55% water mix - that mix is holding a steady 80*C for me on the 560.
