Posting for a friend. He says that it takes off fine off the line...After a shift it revs up but doesn't shift. It probably means 4th 5th. I think this car probably starts in second like my 380sl. Any solenoids that could be the problem? Thanks.

check the shift down switch at gas pedal.Also confirm shes not in limp mode.Check atf
