NON-WORKING REAR WINDOW

Hi, need help , my 1990 300e right rear door window does not raise or lower, cleaned the switch at the center console but no results.
Is there a relay somewhere or should I remove the upholstery on the rear door and check connections.
Any advice welcome.

Assuming not working at switch in console and also the one in the door?
Yes you can easily check power at the door by removing the panel, you will see the junction there that runs to the window motor, wires attached by 2 phillips-head machine screws.
You can try operating the window at the door switch while swinging the door in and out, reason is very often the wires break inside the conduit, by doing this you may see sporadic movement of the window as contact is made and broken. Sometimes they are really seperated and this wont work. Just keep in mind this is a common fault as they get older, the wire insulation and then the wire itself gets brittle and break contact, will need to solder in new wire. Not too difficult to do.
Sometimes the easiest test is just to jump power and ground to the junction to see if the motor is capable of operating, easy to do if you have a spare battery and a pair of jumper leads.
