300SEL band adjustment
 
Is it possible to adjust tranny bands on a 300 SEL?
It slips a litlle between shifts especially when cold. I also have slight delay when shifted into reverse. Have changed the fluid and filter and was extremely clean. 185000 miles.
Any info would be appreciated, Thanks Armind

No band adjustment unless that is a 1970-73 300SEL. Only the 722.0, 1, 2 trannies have a reverse band adjustment. From 722.3 on there are no band adjustments. That means everything from 82 on except 240Ds.

You should probably increase the modulator pressure a turn.

Thanks for the quick reply, it is a 1988.
Where about is vaccum modulator and how do you adjust it?
