"A-pillar" trim - W140 Mercedes
The lower part of my a-pillar interior trim in my W140 is pushed out at the bottom. I was assuming it was a broken clip or something. I can push it back in, but over time it will slowly work its way back out. I got some new clips, but now I cannot figure out how to remove the trim completely to put on the new clips I have. Do I have to remove any other trim first to get this one out?
Thanks! |

I guess no one has ever had to remove and/or replace the clips on these.

When folks hit the doors on high curbs, the clips break. Replace the clips on it and I think you should be good. If the moldings are beat and nasty looking I'd replace the moldings and clips.

Thanks.
I am actually referring to the trim on the interior of the car up by the windshield posts. The padded panel. Mine is sticking out at the bottom. I have replacement clips, but cannot figure out how to remove the panel to get the new clips on it. |
