Help! I pulled my trans to replace the rear main seal. The torq converter did not come out with the trans. I followed the "Alldatadiy. How do I get the torque converter off? Did I miss something? Thanks in advance Yes, I missed Missed step: 16. Remove bolts (9) Of torque converter (15) From driven plate. Access to these bolts is through a cutout in engine oil pan. |
Glad you figured it out. Let us know how the whole job goes.

I always take the torque converter bolts off first...
The flywheel and torque converter bolts should be replaced.. While your there, I'd replace the front transmission seal... Martin |
If the torque converter is not unbolted you run the risk of damaging the oil pump or the input shaft of the transmission as you remove it.
