seat belt problems in 500E
 

Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew anything about a W124's seat belt system? I hear the belt runs all the way around the car. At any rate, my SRS light came on, and i took it to get diagnosed, and it came up with "Will need drivers seat belt buckle replaced" Anyone know what the cost is i'm looking at to get it replaced? Are they talking about the buckle or the seat belt strap? Anyone have a clue? Thanks guys!

The fault code refers to the latch itself. The controller looks to see a 100ohm signal for the latched switch and 400ohms with the switch unlatched. A disconnected switch will be seen as a defect.


The one we replaced on a C280 last week was 75 plus labor.

Awesome, i really appreciate the feedback, i was just hoping the belts wouldn't have to be replaced as it's all one belt and would be expensive. Thanks tons :)
