Needs a finger nail brush and some warm soap to the inside but otherwise is in great condition. Picked up a spare m104 this last weekend as well to ensure she will last forever. |
Congrats!
These are very nice cars, we've owned a W124 wagon since 1993. Started with a 300TD and now have a 95 E320, both silver. My wife loves her car. She doesn't want to get another, she wants to drive the 95 for many more years, and as it's garage kept with only(!) 152K miles, it still looks and drives like new. While I liked the diesel version, the 94-95 cars are so much more refined it's hard to believe they are the same chassis. Hard to pin down exactly what is different (besides the visual), but I like the 95 better. Truly a classic in the making, I still find it amazing that the basic design was laid down in 1986. Jim |

they are beautiful wagons.

With the redesigned reinforced head gaskets, the head gasket should be good I bet for another few hundred thousand if you don't overheat it.
|
The W124 is a handsome wagon. Is this a family car?
If you were joining the dark side for the cookies, I think you found them :). |
Shouldn't diesels be considered the dark side cuz of all that black oil and soot!
:D |
Welcome to the gasser wagon club. :D
We love our C240 wagon...I considered one just like yours but opted to avoid because there's more risks (engine headgasket, evap core....etc etc...) Looks like a spiffy ride! Same color my 1990 300E was. |

No the C-class is smaller and no 3rd row seating sadly, but its perfect for the wife's needs currently, ample space, decent fuel economy and power, and 4matic means I don't have to come drag her car out of snow anymore. :)
Eventually I may move her up to a later W212 e-class if we need more room....that's years away however. So far about it I say: well made, very reliable, and it glides down the highway at ANY speed. You can't tell the difference between 65mph and 110mph. 10 years old 136k on it and everything still works fine |
Another one bites the dust!
Nice car though |
I had a Brillant silver '94 wagon that i put 308,000 miles on. It accelerates like a bullet and handles like a sports car. Anti dive and anti squat suspension in that car is amazing. Have fun and drive it hard everyday - they like it. Keep changing the oil and transmission fluid and it'll hit 500,000 miles easy.
