81 300sd starter switch?
 

Hi,I replaced my ignition switch about two years ago and I went out to start it today for work and it seemed as if the key wouldn't go all the way to the start position and I couldn't feel any kind of spring back on the key. i made sure I had the selector in park. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. It worked fine Friday,I don't get it. Luckily I have an 86 300SL for a backup, it needs to be driven anyway to get the cobb webbs off of it. Greg.

Did you buy the lock too,with keys?There are several bad replacement switches out there.I ordered the best from this forums parts place finally after 3 switches.

I bought the one with the lock and key. For now I'm going to install a push button for the starter. Thanks.
