1988 190e 2.3l Starts and Stalls.

I have an 88 190e running pretty well, maybe a little rough idle and suddenly it dies and now it will start and immediately die. I can pump the gas and the idle will change but approximately 5 seconds later it will die. Even at high idle it just shuts down. Any suggestions. Please
