190e Textar Pads don't fit?
 

Just curious if anyone else has into this. And I mean they didn't even almost fit. I got some cheap pads from an auto parts store and they fit easily. I had the pistons maxed out.

What version and model year 190e? They were equipped with 3 different size calipers depending on model year and engine. What part number on the pads?

1990 190e 2.6. Textar front pads 2105503.

No chance these were going to fit.

Like mentioned above there were several calipers available for that car, either the textars are for a different caliper, or the caliper is from a different car.

My vote is on the pads being wrong. FYI, the w124 rotors and calipers will bolt onto the car and give you an improved stopping distance, and fade protection.

From memory.
The 190e 2.6 had vented rotors while the basic 4 cylinder models had solid rotors.
The W124 260e shared the same brakes as the 190e 2.6.
The W124 300e used a different sized rotor.
I owned both a 190e 2.6 and a W124 260e both '89.

It looks like somebody incorrectly listed this PN as fitting both the early unvented rotors (84-85) and the later vented brakes. Both the vented and invented rotors were 262mm. The 16v got 284mm brakes from the w124.
