Some front axle info needed 93 300te 4matic

I have my 93 4matic wagon in the shop for some suspension work. Mechanic mentioned I should replace the boots as they are torn.

Anybody know of any part numbers? The pictures look a little different than what I actually have on the car.

It looks like the outer boots a dirt cheap but the inners are about 100$ each via pelican, and they are made by "truck tech". Brand quality or are they URo in disguise?

Are entire axles available?

Trucktec =

Uro in disguise. Do not buy.

More info Eugene

Excuse my ignorance, but was unsure which boots you were in need of. Are you talking about the Axle Boot Kit...Outer & Inner under the CV Joint Parts section? Wow that is a huge price descrepancy! And the MB OEM ones are even priced more ridiculous. The part # listed 124-330-05-85 is what you want to use to search for other part options.

I would change them all while they are apart. It seems that I onl have 2 choices: dealer for a few hundred each side, or truktek, (uro or similar) for a hundred each side.

So just to update, I ordered Dorman 614-001 boot via ebay,. Thanks to parshoot for doing the extra legwork. They should get delivered tuesday, and at that point I can confirm fit, and initial quality.

Hopefully these fit, as there is no good alternative other than spending $300 a piece on genuine MB boots.

i'm lucky, i have an axle rebuilder here in town. last time i had a 4matic 124, he did all 4 boots and joints for approx. 75-100 per. look around, there might be a better option. good luck, chuck.
