190e 16v help
 

hi
i need to put a new wiper switch in 86 190 16v
do i have to take the wheel off to get at the cover?
where is the sterring cover bolts. clips? i also noticed that someone else has tried to take the wheel off and the 10mm bolt in there is looking alittle striped
any advice?

also i might add...
i have not driven the 16v in 3 months, today i drove it 100 miles to clean it up ,and at some stop lights when i came to idle the engine was jumping from 500 to 1500 rpm, give it gas it stoped
then came back but didnt stall, and at idle for longer then 5 min the o2 light comes on,then goes off when driving????
the car must have not liked this winter

The steering wheel must come off to replace the switch!

On USA versions of this car only a bad O2 sensor OR intermittant power supply to the CIS computer will cause this light to come on & then back off.
