Hello!
I am the owner off a 230 from 1979, and i have that problem that there is no spark from the transistor- ignition system. Can anyone tell me how i can check the transistorbox and how i can check the pulsdetector in the distributor. Eigil Meldgaard e-mail eigil__meldgaard@net.dialog |

THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE SENDS A ON/OFF SIGNAL TO THE IGNITION COIL. YOU WOULD HAVE TO MEASURE THE SIGNAL WITH A DWELL METER. THE DISTRIBUTOR SENDS A/C VOLTAGE SIGNALS TO THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE WHENEVER THE ENGINE IS ROTATING. THE GREEN WIRE FROM THE DISTRIBUTOR CARRIES THE VOLTAGE SIGNAL. HOPE THIS WILL HELP!

I believe the green lead from the dist. housing is known to be weak on this model. You should be able to buy it alone.
