'86 300E A/C compressor bench testing ?'s

The compressor clutch wasn't working so I removed the compressor unit to replace the clutch. Now I noticed that the compressor spins quite freely, almost without any resistance. Is this normal? I don't want to replace the clutch and find the compressor is bad. Also, I noticed that no oil came out when turned upside down. If the compressor is bad, are rebuild kits available for the ND 10P15C?
