Thermo vacuum valve w201
From what i read its importan that you attach correct tube in/out, but why? Bimetal operated valve, open or closed. Just from curiosity what happens when you switch the lines?

I did have this problem .Once i broke the angled pipe on off the one side of the thermo time switch. Purchased a new one, but unsure of what pipe goes on which pipe on the side connection on the switch . But i found diagrams on Google images on how it was fitted. And i used it in both possitions so like you i dont think it makes any difference .

Ok so after searching the internet i found the inside drawing of the valve, the reason its connected with angle pin to consumption is because the bimetal plate is underneath this pin. So to get 100% sealed you have it connected this way, if you place it the other way it may suck wapor true the O ring seal on the bimetal all the time.

I was always unsure of the right connector to fit the pipes to on mine . May be some member will come up with the reason these are fitted and give us more information on how it works .
