hood sensor wiring (2005 C230 1.8 Sport)
 

I just bought a nice '05 C230 Sport, 71K. It has sustained a mild fender-bender on the passenger side, headlight vicinity, and while the repair work is pretty pitiful, replacing a few parts should get it back to near perfect condition. One thing I cannot quite comprehend is the hood sensor wiring. The warning light on the dash indicates an "open hood" which affects sometimes the functioning of the wipers. Anyway, the hood sensor is in place (next to pass.-side hood release), but the wires, both of them white, have been snipped off leaving a pigtail of 4". Problem is, I can't figure out where those wires go, there are no tell-tale signs of cut wires on the looms in that area. Can anyone describe where these wires go, or snap a photo for me? Surely there's a member out there who can tell me where these wires are supposed to plug in.
