Trouble getting tensioner adjusting rod through hole

i removed the old one but when i try to install the new tensioner with the shock and rod attached i cant get the adjuster rod and nut up through the hole near the power steering resovoir ,been going nuts. Is there a more detailed write up or trick im missing? any help please thank you

the wright up on how to remove the tensioner was helpful after that the install it just says install in reverse no torque specs or tips

Update installed rod by taking nut off runing it up through the hole it will hold itself there if you tilt it...then put tensioner in and try and meet the rod and nut together once its in place ...seemed imposible to do it all in 1 peice ...but car is running happily now.ty for help
