Please help with 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 8V

So I just found out that I might have installed the wrong water pump. My car is a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 8V that was built 08/1985. I purchased a water pump for a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 8V, though the water pump I bought has a m14x1.5 engine coolant temperature sensor on the side of it. The factory water pump has a sensor port that is M18x1.5. I found out the place I bought the water pump from that the 1984 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 8V water pump has a sensor port on the side that is M18x1.5.

Will I have problems that I am using a later 1985 water pump on an earlier 1985 Mercedes 190e 2.3? Will the diameter of the sensor make a difference?

The water pump seems to fit perfectly with no leaks what so ever. I am just waiting for my m14x1.5 sensor.

Were the impellers the same diameter? Any difference in pulley? If no and it does not run hot or leak I'd run it.
