Sorry amateur here! But i cannot seem to find anywhere what this part is? It's very broken and ziptied and just utterly scary to look at. http://i.imgur.com/7k7yrVY.jpg

Its an aftermarket alarm obviously installed too close to the exhaust manifold. Remove it and its associated wiring.

I agree thats what it is but why would you install something like that in that spot?
