Is that a Yugo panel you're checking out?

Connector S pin 7 and Connector W pin 4 . Be sure to use 120 VAC ( wall power ) . . .

Dude, really, how do you expect anyone to help you if we don't know the specific car you are working on?

Almost could be the difference between applying power and ground to the wrong pin and frying something that was not expecting that voltage.

Check this out, should get you what you need:

You know, instead of being rude and scornful when people asked you these things, it would have been better to answer their question.

You yourself admitted that " most of them for the last 20 years have been almost identical but if you must know..."

So what would happen if he gave you the answer for one of those which was not part of "most of them?"

A little civility goes a long way here, especially when you consider that you are asking people to help you with something that you haven't solved.

Check out the history

I agree with you totally! Please take a moment to look at the first two answers that I received under my original post. Yugo? 120 volts? Does that sound civilized? I
I didn't start the fight but hopefully I have ended it in favor of civility.
By the way....thank you 'JamesDean'. You sent me to a web spot that was a great help.

I suspect that you have gone / will continue to go through life being non specific and blaming others for the results.

Do you go to the doctor, say " I'm sick" , he asks "what hurts" , you say
" You are a doctor, you're supposed to know."

Remember, you are the one asking for help, it isn't our job to figure out what you are working on.

If, rather than "Yugo", you were asked if the subject panel were the brillig version, or the frumious version, would it have occurred to you that the question was a bit
tongue-in-cheek?
