How much brake fluid in each line to bleed?

I just did the brake fluid on my E350 and bled 200ml from each caliper.

Was that enough? Is there a recommended amount?
I used to just use ATE blue to verify but it's banned now...

I don't know for sure on your car but that sounds pretty close for the amount of fluid I'd expect in the longer runs

I figured you can't reuse opened brake fluid anyways so I decided 200 per line then 200 leftover for top ups etc.

It looked pretty clean after 100ml but it's tough to know for sure since it wasn't that dirty anyway. Can't hurt to over bleed I guess!

ATE blue is banned? Damn.... I used to alternate between blue and amber, and just pressure bleed until the color ran true.

I'm no expert but I think it is a Californian thing and only because somewhere some one has said it needs to be colourless.

When I flush the brakes I usually need just under 1L so 200ml per line sounds about right.

It was just a couple of states, now its all of the US as far as I know. You can still get the same fluid, but only in amber now.

Yes Michigan too, just found out today, am buying the amber fluid.

I used to run the blue stuff too, I just use the amber version now.

I am OCD and usually powerbleed over a liter through the system overall when I do it...
