I bought a 500sel a cple of years ago.
and it it has allways had prob. with the suspension. The front of the car moves up and down with the hyrdrolic swiatch but the rear emainst at the same height. And when i go ove bumps the rear jumps up and own and bumps allover the place. Any ideas what i need to repair. I have talked to some mech. and there all giving me diffrent stories. |
Sounds like you have a "Euro Spec" model with hydraulic suspension. If so then possisbly the accumulators are bad & causing the "rough" ride.
More info about your car would help. |
Yup its a euro model
83 126 4 door sedan In addition the front of the car does raise and lower but if the car sits for more than 2 hours off it lowers down automaticly till it tuches the rims. Rear accumulators are those the Nitrogen bottels? what parts would i need to fix the problem. |
Yes, they are the nitrogen filled bottles. They are called accumulators. They are responsible for helping to control the springs. If the car drops to the ground after only a couple of hours you probably have a check valve faulty somewhere.
