1984 280E (w123) Hose Identification

So I noticed there is a broken hose under the Air Speed Sensor on my dad's 280E. Does anyone know what this hose is? I am completely unfamiliar with this series of car, mine are a 1993 190E and 1986 300E.

If the broken hose is/was connected to the bottom of the air guide, it is the clean air supply hose to the auxiliary air valve (AAV).

It attaches to the jetronic air flow sensor, and Y's off to the air cleaner.

The air guide is the lower portion of the air flow sensor/air guide assembly, which then is attached to the throttle body. Is the broken portion of the hose attached to the this assembly?

The air flow sensor, along with the fuel distributor, constitute the upper portion.

Seems to attach to the lower section. It seems to be a single hose as circled in red.

Part # 110-094-51-82, nabbed one online and arrives today. Looks like this car is going to my son now that he has his license. I expect I'll be posting more questions soon as we start working on it. Been parked a few years... fuel looks and smells like Black Walnut wood stain...
