SL 500 1993

Hi guys, I have a 1993 SL 500(129.067) with the M119 engine(M119.972) and Bosch LH -Jetronic with a fault code 13 for an open/short circuit intake air temperature sensor. I am thinking it must be built in to the air mass meter on this model as there are no sensors in the air filter box or intake pipes, would this be correct? Thanks for any replies.

I'd like to help but only know that 96 was the last year that the M104 6 cyl had a temp sensor in the intake air pipe from the MAF to throttle. 97 and up got a MAF with it built in.

I'd look towards an engine harness wiring issue, look up "Mercedes biodegradable wiring insulation "
