This should not happen to a Mercedes

2009 SL550 (R230). The inside door handle is loose. I have everything apart but still can't take out the door panel. There is at least one fastener somewhere behind the grab handle holding it. The aluminum panel behind to door is off, one screw behind the SRS emlem is off, and all push pins surrounding the door panel are unclipped. I think access might be by removing the window switch, but I don't want to force it.

Does anyone have experience with this?
