W124 rear window regulator plastic clip broken

Hi,

My left rear window regulator has a broken plastic clip. I can't find a suitable replacement anywhere either here on PP or Auto..AZ. Can someone please give me a part number or somewhere I can try?

I am preparing to have to buy a new regulator but it seems a waste considering it is the only thing that has broken.

Thanks

I don't know if you can buy that plastic clip or not, but being plastic seems logical it would be the thing to break. Maybe go to PickNPull and find a used one. I figured I'd got 20 years out of mine and bot a new regulator. Fortunately yours is the rear regulator because they come with the motor. Had it been the front regulator and you needed the motor as well as the regulator you have to buy them separately. Had to be some bean counter that came up with that idea.

Get a Chi-com regulator from eBay, complete with motor. Any boneyard one will be old and ready to break also. Or buy the same thing direct from am-autoparts dot com. Runs about $40. Have been using one for years with no problem.

Epoxy the old one back together and use a Dremel to properly reform the hole.
