grinding sound

Not sure what it is... I ***think*** it comes from the rear of the car. It happens when I put my foot on the brake and go from Drive to Reverse. It takes like a second to switch and then I hear a grinding sound in the shift. What should i do about this and what should I tell my tech?

replicate the condition for your tech, and let him/her diagnose
