Engine suddenly goes off right after ignition
 

Recently, especially this past month i've experienced a few times that engine just goes off right after i start the engine
I've been bother by this pretty much but there is no check engine light or battery light or anything

anyone know what might be the cause of this?
my car is a 99 C280

no one knows?

My car did the same thing. It was the Smartkey. I got the "upgraded" key set, and poof, no more problem.

Did you talk to the dealer? It's funny if they didn't have an idea...

"upgraded" as they change the whole set for you or just reprogram?

any charge?

New keys and programming. Warranty job, as I have seven years 160K Signature Warranty. Otherwise, I think the charge is around $350 for the key set and programming.
