Spinning Bolt
1 Attachment(s)
Working on my 88 190e 2.3 replacing the belt tensioner and shock, etc. There is a spinning bolt on one of the brackets (see picture) I don't believe there is a nut behind. What can I do? It is the top bolt on the bracket. Also how do I remove the torx bits holding the cooling fan pulley? (Don't say carefully) Thanks

Why do you need to remove the pulley? |
You are right! Found the nut. Tensioner is out. So glad I don't have to remove the torx bits from the cooling fan pulley. At least on the removal. Parts arrive tomorrow. Thanks!

Thanks SLK. I have another question. The adjusting rod at the base has a clip that holds the adjusting rod to the circle. Should the rod be in the clip or outside the clip when it's installed?

Never mind, figured it out. It's fell into place. Alls well!
