Red face please help 1985 mercedes 190e 2.3 no spark

Hello..newbie here and im sorry to hijack the post i really need some help.
I have a 1985 mercedes 190e 2.3
I have this vehicle for 3 months
Upon purchase this car had fuel delivery problems
So..i changed:
Fuel pump relay
Filter,pump,accumulator
Rebuilt fuel distributor
New fuel injectors
Car started...yay ran like crap
But started when i stepped on gas pedal car died
It would do this for several times till
Eventually it just cranks
Ok!! Check plugs (old and crusty)
So back to the drawing board.
New wires
New copper plugs
New cap and rotor
New ignition coil
Crank and still no start..
Check for spark and there aint none..
Nothing.
Now im stumped!!
Read about 50 threads here (and thank you all for the great advice) however i cannot seem to locate an exact location of the friggin crank sensor..from what im reading one is in the front under thermostat and also one in rear??
Then i read it might be my icm so im waiting on my shipment of the part.but can someone please be exact and tell me how many crank sensors this car has and exact location i would really appreciate it.and photos would be extra awesome..ive chased my icm wire to coil but its splits up into 5 wires and ive found a location on rear of block with a 3/8 bolt but i dont want to touch something thats not faulty.

CPS is on the bell housing near starter motor near clutch .The front cps is of no use and wont help you find your problem . And if you get in the car turn key to spin engine over do you see any movement from the rev counter . If you can then the cps is ok.By the way do you have an immobiliser on this engine or alarm .This can cut all power to the coil.

After rebuilding the fuel distributor did you adjust the fuel to air ratio ?

This is order of rotation of the firing order .Plug 1 is at aprox 4 o clock. But first did you check the king lead -coil to distributor. wire , i know you say they are new.

I am down to two things CPS is shot and not sending possition for it to fire or the CPS is faulty .Think its the same conclusion as you . I did have this problem ,my trouble was immobiliser ,it just never started up at all after winter standing .Auto electric chap took the immobiliser wires off the coil it started up right away. Can you see any extra wires on the coil ,looking for blue crimp conectors.

You need a diagram of the wire connections to the coil .If its had an immobiliser fitted it will have colour connectors on there .

While cranking the engine, what is the output of the CPS?

I dont know ,not for your engine I think if it is your immobiliser or alarm you need an alarm fitter to sort it out .What make is your alarm ?

Any voltage on test , i would say, will rule out faulty cps . Check if the coil is getting amperage to operate You need to peform a drop test between the battery positive cable and the ingnition coil terminal 15 and see if circuit is the cause.

How can i locate terminal 15? So i can perform the test you are telling me about and how many volts should i be getting? Also should i test with key in on position? I have been doing all testing with key in on position as i wasnt sure if it gets any power in the off position. How many volts should i be getting at the cps and what are the color codes for the cps because my cps wire on the icm are open someone must have spliced it for previous testing its one thick black wire cover spliced open exposing 4 different wires.ill attach photos
