Mercedes epcnet online catalog $$$$$

Did the Mercedes EPC online catalog change? Is it no longer available for free subscriptions? I tried to renew my susbscription to look up some obscure transmission diagrams and part numbers and they only offered the choice of paying $75 for a year subscription. I think last time I did this it was either free or $1. Any help? That resource was invaluable for finding part numbers. I found them and then bought the parts from the dealer. They made their money. Plus their parts guys dont know squat about looking up parts for 30+ year old cars!

Yes, as of 01Jan2016, it's no longer free.

I accidentally paid them $75, because I wasn't reading all the fine print.

Mercedes of Atlanta is a good place to look up prices if you have a part number. They use the EPC drawings in their descriptions. However if you don't have a part number, I'm not sure if the site can help.

$75 is not much more than $1/day for the service. Worth it if you own an old ride... or multiple.

Dealer here was useless helping me look for spring shim thicknesses I need for two of the four W126s :/

Six others from BMW, GM, and Ford.

Hit man, I think you meant .205 cents a day, not a dollar.

On eBay, there are several vendors selling sets of CDs or DVDs that include MB WIS as well as EPC. Usually cost about $15.00. WIS not much good for older cars, but good if you also have a newer Benz.

Those vendors are probably the only people happy about the $75 fee.

I just checked to see see if they had charged me for my renewal, but they hadn't. I renewed mine on 01/11/2016 and didn't have to pay. Not sure why they would start charging for that service.

There is no difference in looking up a part for a 1970 mb verses a 2016 mb on epc its the same. the older cars came with a parts book with pics so you could take them the pic and they should be able to look it up

Whoops, yes!

I was thinking $1 per week.
