Hi there !

I can't find the wire that normally connects with the 1 pin fan clutch connector.

In the first picture is the 1 pin fan clutch connector that i'm talking about.

In the second picture (picture taken from the internet) i marked the wire that i can't find.

I can't seem to find anything about these two wires.

1990 w124 m102.963 engine.

I think you've found all you really need to know about the wires. Like the second picture shows it is for the fan clutch. So trace the connection from the back of the fan clutch to the end of the wire...

Hi Stretch, and thanks for the fast response!

That's the thing, the wire that comes from the fan clutch is not plugged into anything.

That's what i'm trying to find, the one that has to connect with the fan clutch wire.

Sorry for the double-post...something went wrong.

I think the other end is on the main loom coming from the ECU wiring...

I'll check on mine tomorrow for you if it stops raining.

The plug is comes out of the same bundle that goes along the engine (near injectors) and then comes out towards the front of the engine and goes off to the x11 diagnostic socket - direction => electronic ignition module. It should be close to the throttle switch junction on the front of the intake manifold.

Stretch, that's the most useful info i got until now !

If i'm not asking too much, can you make some pictures ?
From the bundle that goes along the engine (near injectors), and where it comes out towards the front of the engine.
Any picture that might give me a hint on where to look for this wire.
Tomorrow i want to remove the engine's harness insulation to look for any wires that might be cut off or cancelled...or something weird.

By any chance,do you know what the colors of that wire are ?

Thank you again !

Sorry for the late reply.

The colour is black on the outer sheaf - I don't know the colour code of the wire within if that's what you want.

I'll make some pictures for you tomorrow.

(If I don't reply fast enough use the forum email function to shake me out of my tree!)

{I'm busy with my Land Rover and other crap - so I'm not here as often as I used to be}

Time off for good behaviour...

...got it done today.

The wire for the electromagnetic clutch is grouped in the same bundle as the sensors on the head
