1997 E 320 electric fault/problem
 

Please can you help me.
I have a 1997 Mercedes E320, 6 cyl gas engine.
every time I go over a bump my speedometer and rev counter and fuel gauge go out. I have to hit a bump in the road for them to come back on. This has been going on for a while now and as you can imagine I want to fix it with out paying an arm and a leg. Has any knowen of this and what might be the cause of the problem? :confused:

Sounds like a poor electrical connection. Basically disconnect, clean with electrical parts cleaner, then reconnect - all electrical connections going to those gizmos. Note that can include wiring connections under the hood of the car which then travel to the instrument cluster.

Check out the large plug on the rear of the speedo .They can come un pluged over time .And check all the fuses for damage or cracks
