W124 M104 Vacuum Line help
2 Attachment(s)
Hello, I'm just working on a new to me 320TE with the M104 Engine, I found this red vacuum line unplugged but can't see anywhere obvious where it should go- anyone know? Cheers.

It may go to an AIR shutoff valve below the AIR pump.

Thanks, I could see a line already connected to the air pump but no other place for this one to plug in, I'll have another look underneath later.

mine it runs to the egr looking device on exhaust manifold. But I don't use it,it only works for a few minutes when engine is cold anyway. No performance issue,if not connected. You may get a p code.Just block off vac line from intake.

Piggybacking on an older thread here...
Does someone have a pic showing how the blue/white hard vacuum line is routed from the intake manifold area to the connection at the front of the engine? I disconnected it while changing out my drive belt and now it is coming up short by several inches. I don't think it broke, but no matter how I route it I can't get it to reach all the way back to the connector on the engine front. |
