ive got an 84 280e 4 speed
the boot between the intake and fuel dist has a lot of cracks. ive noticed that rubber parts are getting thinner. I was wondering if anyone has used I silicone boot (from an intake ) on thiers? I did locate the boot for 38$ plus shipping but was looking for something more durable

Just get a new proper boot.
If these things leak you get all sorts of idling and running issues |
