1994 e320 turn signal switch plug
 

Hi,
I'm replacing the turn signal switch on my 94 E320, and while unplugging the large connection the small single connect came off and I cannot for the life of me find where it goes!!
Pics in tech article seem to show it heading back towards steering column.
Is it possible it was not connected at all?
My old back just doesn't let me get under the dash like I used to.
