1999 W210 A/C issue

E320 A/C problem

Symptoms=
Compressor was replaced 2 years ago.
The compressor clutch cycles about 15 seconds engaged then 5-10 seconds disengaged then repeats.
Some days the blower does not come on at all but the dash reads it is blowing HI.
The charge seems to be correct per a recharge kit gauge.

I have run through the sensor and error codes.

Sensors=
1-102
2-107
3-58
4-57
5-55
6-188
7-18
8-121

Errors=
Eb1232
Eb1234
Eb1416

Anything stand out from these readings that would support the symptoms?

I rebuild engines and trannys but know very little about A/C systems.

I don't have a chart handy to determine what the sensor / error codes relate to.

Are you looking at the high and low side pressures? A system can have just a slight amount of freon or a full charge and the static low side pressure will be the same.

You want to see if the low side drops below say 30 PSI with the compressor engaged. If it does, the charge is likely low.

I think you have to fix the blower problem first, which sounds like a bad blower regulator. The evaporator needs good airflow for everything to cool; if there is insufficient airflow, refrigerant sensors can cause the compressor to cycle off as it should.

As to the codes, see this link, but I would wait until after the blower works and then reset teh errors to see what comes back. Automatic Climate Control Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory - Mercedes-Benz Forum

The blower seems to work most of the time along with the compressor

Not sure which might be affecting the other but when there is no blower, there is no clutch, just the dash showing the blower is supposedly working

The compressor is working fine when the blower is running and the clutch is engaged, nice cold air

Will look into the regulator and report back

A bad reg will cause an intermittent like this? Hope so...
