Front Rotor doesn't have retaining bolt, how do I remove rotor?

Here's a photo of the right front rotor on the 1991 560SEL. There doesn't appear to be a retaining bolt like the rear rotor; how do I remove it?

Off with the entire hub assembly. Then separate the hub from the rotor.

Looks like there are bolts coming in from the back side holding it together. You should see them when you pull the hub off.

Top tip: once you get the hub/rotor off bolt back onto the wheel and tire. Gives you the leaverage to get the other boots out. Big breaker bar!

OK, I followed instructions from another poster and now have the rotor and hub off the car. Question; the outer bearing came out but the inner bearing is buried inside the hub.

Another poster mentioned that he removed the inner bearing by leaving the outside nut on the axle and when he pulled on the hub, the inner bearing came out. This idea seems like it might not be the best way to do it; any ideas on how to remove the inner bearing and seal?

I'm assuming I should repack both inner and outer bearings with new grease before mounting the new rotor????

Buy a long seal puller. They are cheap and work well.

But not to much grease .Or it can get in to the brake system.

Came across this video on wheel bearing replacement; notice how he reinstalls the castle nut and then uses the axle and hub as a slide hammer to remove the inner seal and bearing. I'm going to try the same idea on the 1991 560SEL.

HM:

Insert a 1/2" drive extension through the hub and against the inner bearing, tap on extension to knock bearing and seal out.

Are your bearings / seals bad? I just redid the brakes on my SDL, and re-used the seals and bearings as they were all in good condition. I did renew all the grease.

Are the bolts holding the hub to the rotor 10mm? I have a 10mm HEX BIT 3/8" drive that seems to fit but I want to make sure so that I don't strip the hub bolts!
