'95 E320 Wagon: AC clunk ... is this normal?
 

When I engage the AC or when starting the car with the AC button depressed there is a clunk sound from the dash. Is this normal? I was wondering if there is a vacuum leak?

The car is a '95 E320 Wagon.

I had my blower motor replaced about 10mos ago under Starmark warranty. Do someone not attach a vacuum line correctly or is something leaking?

This is exactly what it sounds like to me.

The question still remains ... is this normal or is there a gradual vacuum leak?

I hear it on occasion on mine. Never have thought too much about it as long as the air is coming from where it is supposed to be coming from.

Ditto -- there's a "clunk" when turning off the heat or A/C. It's about a 2 sec delay after hitting the HVAC button. Not sure if it happens everytime, but no need to worry. :)
