2000 C230 Kompressor Water pump & fan
Swapping the motor and I need to remove the water pump, which means removing the fan. I bought the special tools but the fan just won't budge. Is there a trick I'm unaware of or do I just have to apply some more muscle?

It might be reverse thread.
Look in a workshop manual to make sure. |

Ok, for the record the fans are reverse threaded. To use properly use the tool that secures the pulley I had to swap 3 hex bolts to socket head bolts. Once that was done a little heat was required on one fan but the other came off with 1 whack on the wrench with a hammer.
