Probably would be a good idea to check the valve adjustment if you don't know when it was last done.

The 76 North American M110 only had mechanical advance so no vacuum lines going to the distributor.
Your car was the last year with points so you need to check the condition of the points even though it has transistorized switching. They still wear and can also get gummed up.

Check the dwell before setting the timing. It should be between 30 and 40 degrees at idle.

Timing specs are: 7 degrees before top dead center at idle, 10-16 at 1500 rpm, 26-33 at 3000 rpm and 29-35 at 4500 rpm.

Check the operation of your choke to see if it is functioning properly. Make sure that the butterfly closes completely when set and can move freely. Those carbs are bad for warping if tightened down too much. This causes binding of the choke plate and the secondary stage butterfly as well as all kinds of other problems. If you have a hand pump check the operation of the choke vacuum pulldown.
