Is there a different owner manual, the one that goes in the glove box for a 1998 E320 sedan vs wagon? Thanks.

I don't know, however if you dig around on the official Mercedes web site, there are manuals for download / purchase in paper. There is also lots of other documentation there too.

Your best bet is going to be one of the online auction sites, I looked on the MB site and it doesn't look like 1998 manual is available anymore.

I don't know about 1998 but,
My 2001 wagon manual has a picture of a wagon on the cover and my 2002 sedan has a picture of a sedan on the cover. I think the only differences are the wagon features are included in the wagon manual.
