Stop Bore Master Brake Cylinder bleeding........

I'm working on the 1991 560SEL. Is the brake master cylinder on this car considered a "Stop bore master brake cylinder"?? If so, I've located a tool that may help in bleeding it......

It is called a

Cardone Master Cylinder Bench Bleeder Tools 10-5000MCB

and is available on several car parts web sites. Does anyone know if this particular tool could be useful in bleeding a master brake cylinder on a 1991 560SEL??

Also, check out ezbleeder.com this looks to be interesting as well......

I think you mean a step bore master cylunder, as in the bore steps down in diameter for the forward piston.

The logic is fundamentally sound considering the traditional process is to essentially push on the brake pedal. This device speeds things up. Go for it!

I don't know if Erzibleed works with the pressure ABS requires. Might as well go with a Motive.

the regular hoses and fittings you get at the store work ok,

I use some cut up steel lines with clear hoses and a hog clamp to assist me, the hog clamp closes off the hoses so air is not sucked back on the downstroke.

Quick bleed

you can also use a vacuum pump to bleed the cylinder if you make a cap with a fitting.
